Allan offers the only reasonably priced Mac repair in Los Angeles. When my computer screen cracked, I think Apple quoted me upwards of $800 -- Allan did it, parts and labor, for $150. It works fine. Also, he's helped me out with little things: my power adapter broke -- for 15 bucks he fixed it, and on a holiday no less. The Apple store suggested I buy a brand new one for $80. Unless you're very very wealthy, if something happens to your Mac, I strongly urge you to use MacFix.

He methodically looked at my Mac Pro and proceeded to make some setup changes, install utilities to clear things up, and then made strong recommendations about additional things I could do after he left to help keep my Mac Pro operating efficiently. Have no worries about the technician coming to your home, he was polite, respectful, listened well, willing to address all my technical questions, and the price was very fair. I highly recommend this service. Even Macs need a tune up sometimes, and while I consider myself technical and more capable than most on computers, I needed help and MacDoctors came through well.

I don't think I could have gotten better service anywhere. I dreaded having to take it to the Apple Store. I decided to search for an alternative and found MacDoctors. After reading several (and I know now) well deserved positive reviews, I gave them a call. Alan said he suspected my hardrive (as I had) when I described what was going on. He said he'd be over by 4pm, and he was. After a quick diagnostic, he began the repair process and restoration from my backup. After a brief period of time I was backup and running again. All at a very reasonable price, with a minimum amount of hassle. MacDoctors are very professional and the absolute best at what they do. I would recommend them to anybody.
